Trailer
I just
happened to be driving past a house not far from home and saw a trailer for
sale in the front yard. I was able to
secure it at a very reasonable price.
It is three years old but has never been used.
Once we had
the boat on the trailer and wheeled it out into the open for the first time we
could stand back and have a good look at the lines of the boat. We always had a suspicion that the line of
the chine was not quite right – and we were right. Just forward of where the chine flat finishes the line of the
chine dips upwards and looks funny.
Careful consultation with the plans has shown that the chine flat should
extend further forward and that perhaps (only perhaps) the side panel was not
cut out exactly to the plans.
Before
glassing the bottom the chine flat was extended with some epoxy filler and now
the line looks great. Check it out in the
